Ladies and gentlemen..
All this time, we thought that the only way to maintain our culture is just by using and learning traditional language or our national language even few of people thought learning other language state is kind of westernization negative effect. However we can maintain Indonesian culture by learning other culture from overseas. So, on this lovely occasion, I’d like to share my ideas to develop our English skill to maintain Indonesian culture.
All of us know that English is one of the international language, although we have national language for own but we can’t (berpisah) with English. We can meet English in everywhere in Computer, internet, even mobilephone. Besides, English is the window to acquire knowledge. As we all know, a lot of book, insklopedia, discoveries, and inventions are written and published in this language. From this statement we know that learning English is exactly beneficial for our life.
Here some vision steps to maintain Indonesian culture by learning English:
First, by learning and mastering other language or culture abroad (especially English) hoped we realized how precious our cultures are and finally we will try hard to know our own culture.
In this internet era, we can get more overseas friends by chatting on the internet. Of course, we have to communicate in English. Next, by speak English fluently, we can introduce and promote our culture to international society. It’s due to the fact that English is used by a great number of people all over world.
To reach this goal, of course we should know our culture. We must mastering our traditional language, traditional custom, and own traditional habit. Cause it’s impossible to explain to foreigner about our culture if we don’t understand our culture for our self.
